Night Club
10th September
30th October 2016

Peter Thomas is an artist who loves to draw. When he is in his studio drawing, Peter says he has the most amazing time being able to think about everything and nothing at the same time. He has been interested in male violence for a long time, but recently he found himself parked in his car at 3am on Kings Street, Melbourne watching the street drama or thinking about Joshua Hardy, who was killed in a random attack outside a McDonald’s in 2014. His charcoal renderings have been described by Helen Hughes, Research Curator at Monash University Museum of Art, as similar to those made by an official war artist, deployed to document a battle in another country. Peter is based in Melbourne.
